Drabble fun!

cowboyguy(My index fingertip really hurts and I don't know why...I think maybe the knitting needles poking me and too much guitar playing did it...)
Anyway, I wrote a drabble today, and I think it actually might be my first one ever. This is what happens when I don't have my laptop at school and I have time to kill: I actually write things. So, anyway, I don't even know if it's any good, but I'm just happy I got exactly 100 words. (Took me three or four edits.)
So here it is:
Xander stood in a quiet alcove of the Council building, watching the people five stories below him rushing through their lives.
“They don’t know a thing, do they?”
He turned to find Marie, a new Slayer, standing behind him. The petite redhead joined him at the window, one hand pressed against the glass.
“Nope,” he sighed. “But I guess that’s good. Can you imagine what it’d be like if everyone knew magic and kung fu?”
She blinked up at him. “How can you make jokes?”
High school Hellmouth, dating a vengeance demon, losing an eye. “You get used to it.”
