If you stay with me forever...

So I decided recently that I wanted to buy my own camera. I have a big Nikon DSLR one that my uncle let me have, but nothing to really stick in my pocket and carry around with me. So on Monday night, I went out and bought my very own camera. It's a Sony Cybershot W150, and so far I'm absolutely in love with it. I spent two hours the other day just wandering around my house taking pictures of things.
And the macro. Oh god, the macro. I can take close-up pictures and they're not blurry! Hooray!
So anyway, I've got a little assortment of photos if you're interested.

Okay, I'm getting addicted to this image-manipping, wallpaper-making thing. But it's just so fun, I can't stop! ^_^ So I've got three new wallpapers: one of Hadrian, one for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and one of Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious. They're all lurking behind the lj cuts... Sorry if they're kinda big. I'm not sure I know how to make thumbnails...

I've got four different groups of pictures that I've taken over the past few days, but haven't posted them anywhere yet. So I thought I'd just post all of them in one post, instead of bombarding people's journals with picspam. So here we go. And just as a quick note, Hadrian's personality changes a lot. I think he's got multiple personalities or something...

So last week I bought a pair of eyes for Hadrian from chibikitsune on DoA, and they arrived today! It took me about half an hour to get his old eyes out and his new eyes in, because I'd never done it before, but I'm very pleased with the results.



Hadrian says, "Look at me, I has green eyes now. If you wanna see more, click the linky."

Okay, I changed my mind, went back down to the sewing machine, and figured out how to do the shirt. And I did it! And I love it! *excitedness* It's still not completely finished, because I have to hem the bottom, but otherwise I think it's pretty good. The best part for me is that this time I made the neck hole big enough that I can get it over his huge head without having to put snaps on the back.

Also, I just realized that Hadrian's one month old today. *makes a doll-sized birthday cake*

Eh, just took this picture today, and I like it because it looks like he's almost smiling, and he looks bigger than he really is. Yay.

So, I've been reading a really good Doctor Who fic all afternoon, called Try. I recommend it, especially for Nine lovers or hurt/comforty, angsty types. Can't really say what I think of it as a whole, since I'm not done with it yet, but so far I like. ^_^

Also, I'm the uber-happy because I got my bass guitar back today. She's been at the music store being fixed for almost a week, and now she's back with me, and she works, and I'm happy...

Hadrian came with me to school today. He stayed in his bag for the first two classes, and then I brought him out for Japanese class because my friend really wanted to see him. So we had fun cuddling him during class and still trying to pay attention. And then I drove home with him sitting in my lap and it was very cute.
Only have one picture, because I wasn't brave enough to take him out of my bag for very long outside of class, and I didn't wanna take pictures during class, but maybe I'll bring him to school again one day and scout around for good scenery to take pictures. It's still all wintery and muddy, anyway, so I wasn't planning on setting him down outside anywhere...

The other day I was searching for fabric to make a didjeridoo case when I came across something I'd tried to sew about three years ago. He was supposed to be a teddy bear, but since I suck at sewing, he ended up looking more like a misshapen cat-thing... So I stuck him in the closet and ignored him for a long time. When I came across him on Saturday, one of his arms had ripped open, so I sewed that up, drew a little face on him, and made him a makeshift shirt out of a T-shirt sleeve I had laying around. Since he still looks kind of like a dead cat, I named him Roadkill (Roadie for short), but now I'm kind of attached to him -- he looks cute in this sort of forlorn, pathetic way...
