I've been sick for two weeks with this really annoying cough. So I finally admitted I probably wasn't going to get better on my own, and went to the doctor's office. Now, I don't know why this happens, but it almost always does -- my symptoms seem to disappear as soon as I'm in the office. It's the most aggravating thing, because for the rest of the day, I'm busy coughing every few minutes, but when I'm talking to the doctor, no cough at all. "Um, yeah, it's been going on for a few weeks, and I'm pretty miserable..." said while not sounding sick at all... Is my horrible cold suddenly shy or what?

Okay, here I go. Warning: massive link dump ahead. When I've got 32 windows open, each containing several tabs, it's time to close a few before my computer 'splodes.

Neil Gaiman posted on his blog a question someone asked him about fountain pens. And now I have this urge to go out and buy a really pretty fountain pen, even though I have very little experience with them. I'd just like to write pretty words in pretty journals with a handwriting style that is better than my own. Speaking of pretty: flickr has fountain pens.

So I gots me a new iPod for my birthday yesterday. It's quite nice -- 80 Gb, while my last one was only 20 -- but that click wheel is uber-sensitive. Takes awhile to get to the right selection sometimes. And I'm not sure what I think about the Cover Flow feature, because a lot of my albums don't seem to have covers...? I'm glad that's not the only way to browse through my music, though.

I just downloaded Nate Borofsky of Girlyman's podcasts and was listening to them. He's so entertaining, and he played some songs I'd never heard before. They were quite pretty. But apparently he and Doris used to be in a relationship?! I never knew that before...

In other news, I love crossdressing so much. ^_^ I went to American Eagle today to buy some clothes, and I was wearing one of the guy polo shirts I'd bought there before. So I'm walking through the store, and I see this thirteen or fourteen year old kid staring at me, holding in his hand the same shirt that I was wearing. I just grinned at him and kept walking, but that was so much fun. *is evil* Hey, it's not my fault that all of the girl clothes are disgusting and won't fit me properly. So I found a few comfy guy shirts, and a nice hoodie that was on sale. Whee!

And it's finally warm outside... I was getting so tired of cold weather. And not rainy at all like they said it was going to be.

Yesterday, my brother told me that Heath Ledger had died, and I couldn't quite believe it. It's just so weird when something happens like this. It's so sudden...
I always liked his acting, and it makes me sad that I'm not going to get to see him in anything again. I feel bad for his girlfriend and his daughter, too.
Anyway, I suppose I just wanted to send hugs out to Heath Ledger and all the people who are going to miss him.

I just had the best dream. My aunt and I were going to see Order of the Phoenix again in the theaters one last time before it left, and Gary Oldman and David Thewlis were coming with us. She and I got into the theater first -- I guess they were out buying snacks or something -- and when they came in they were flirting shamelessly with each other. In a theater full of kids, but was I gonna tell them to stop? Definitely not. ^_^ Gary was calling David "kitty", and tossing popcorn at him and stuff, and they were both acting incredibly silly. Of course I had to wake up before the movie actually started, but I'd like to go back to sleep now and see more of the flirting, please.

It's so nice outside today, I can't believe it. Of course, I haven't gotten out my summer clothes yet, so it's also very hot, but anyway...
And I get my camera back tonight! Planning on going outside and taking some Hadrian pics very soon, because everything's all blooming and flowery and pretty.
I'm just suddenly in such good mood and felt the need to say that. So... yeah. Happy now. ^_^

Just wanted to pimp some awesome icons I found today, here. They're Firefly/Doctor Who and they're all great.

In other news, I went and bought a bunch of scraps at the fabric store yesterday, and I'm going to try to make stuffed animals to sell. I might try to make them bjd-sized, we'll see how small I can sew. Haven't actually gotten to work on one yet...

So I just have to record this because... well, because it was just so damn fun. I just went karaoke-ing for the first time with a dozen other people and it was great. It was my friend's birthday, so it was her and I and a bunch of her friends. I sang "Anarchy in the UK", "Yatta!", and "Minority". I think I did pretty well (I like my Johnny Rotten voice ^_^ ), although I had the hardest time reading the Japanese on Yatta because I'm not used to reading that fast. But it was still so fun! And there were four Japanese girls there, and I'm completely jealous of their voices because they all sang really well.
I think it'd be very easy to become addicted to karaoke, because we were there for an hour and a half, and there were still at least four or five songs that I would've been interested in singing.
Anyway, it's 11:00 at night, and I'm babbling, so I should probably go to sleep, but I just wanted to write a bit about my night so I don't forget it.
