So I already know I'd make a terrible decorator. I have no color sense whatsoever. Here's the problem. I'm making a blog for one of my classes, and I'm stuck on the color scheme. Right now my main colors are these three colors. The first one for the background color, the second for the links, and third for borders and minor text like the datestamps. The majority of the text on the page will just be plain white against the blue background. Do those colors go together at all, or should I just give up completely and stick with one of the pre-made templates?

hmmmm hard to tell without actually playing around with it. But I went to school for advertising design, and honestly my always "go to" for things like a blog.. would be to stick to a even contrast. So if your background is blue I would make your main font a white or black (white is what you said you were doing) then for links I would use a opposing color such as red or black, in your case I would say black over the red. And for the timestamps I would use the red. Stay away from green with blue, it sends off the feelings of "Chaos" honestly :)

How about just blue, orange, and white? Is that less chaotic? :D
