I'm so proud of myself right now. Today (so far) my NaNo word count is 12,183. This is further than I have ever gotten in NaNoWriMo in the three years that I've done it. And I've still got 19 more days to go!
I'm absolutely determined to make it to 50,000 this year, and that determination has just been strengthened by the fact that if I finish, I get a paperback version of my novel. Apparently CreateSpace will give all winners a free paperback copy of their novel, which is just made of awesome. Even if it never gets actually published, the fact that words that I have written will be put together into an actual book is just too exciting to pass up. So I'm getting to 50,000, even if I have to stay awake all night for the last week!

That said, how's everyone else doing?

(Look, my Justin has a cowboy hat. *points to mood icon*)

Not doing it but I wish I was.
I want to see my stuff in a proper book!
I wonder how much they charge if you just get something printed and pay for it?

Not sure... I only just found out about the thing today. Need to do some more research into it. If you published Altered States, I'd buy it in a second. Wonder what their policy is on fanfiction...

Oh, you're too kind!
But I'm sure it wouldn't be allowed.

It's such a shame, really. If fanfiction could be published in book form, I'd have three times as many bookshelves as I do now.
