I keep thinking about poor lil' Gus, and how he's been here since January and I really haven't done much with him. And the more I think about it, I'm deciding that he shouldn't be a Luts Bory, but instead should be a Bluefairy Tommy. Bory's just too grumpy-looking for my happy Gus. And I've discovered that I'm not really a big fan of the Kid Delf bodies. I hate the hands -- they're so big -- and his head just seems like it's too small for his body. I love the Bluefairy bodies so much more.
But if I sell Gus, that means I've got the slightly complicated task of selling a doll that my family doesn't know I own, so I'll have to package him and ship him out and everything when they're not home. Also, I've never sold a doll before and so I've got that guilt thing going on. But I think if I sold him and then maybe got a Tommy to replace him eventually, I'd be so much happier. Because right now, I just keep thinking, "Think how many pairs of shoes/clothes/CDs Gus would buy me if I sold him." And if I'm thinking that about a doll, I probably shouldn't be keeping him, should I?

You are way too old to be worrying about what your family will think, especially of something so trifling.

when it comes right down to it, you needn't feel guilty about selling a doll if he just doesn't fit what you were looking for. you spent a lot of money on him, you should be completely happy with him, and if you're not, keep looking. I do like the BlueFairy boys a lot better in general than the Kid Delf (I've got a Nicky and Bory, and they're very different).

I wish you good luck selling him, if that's what you decide to do. I don't know how many people on your f-list are doll people, but this is always a good place to start before going to the forums. and Ebay's new 21 day payment holding policy has gone into effect, so that would be the LAST place you want to try selling.

Yeah, I know. It's mostly because they're expensive dolls, and my family already thinks they're a waste of money. Right now they only think I have two, when really I have four and two have been living in one of my desk drawers for months.

That's very true. I think if I do sell him, I'd feel incredibly guilty at first, but in the long run, I know I'll be fine without him. And if I end up getting a Tommy at some point, well, that's just icing on the cake. ^_^
I think my main issue is that I originally had a much more sad character planned, and then after I ordered the Bory, the character changed, and he was a lot happier, but the Bory face just didn't fit properly.
