Still grinning like an idiot. I can't believe I actually did it! This is probably the proudest I have felt of myself in a very, very long time. I actually wrote fifty-fucking-THOUSAND words in ONE month! Ohmigod! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Good luck to anyone who's not quite there yet! I'll be waiting for you at the finish line. I've got cake... *entices with cake* ^________________________^

Wow!
Well done!
What's the procedure now - do you get editing time before handing it in to the teacher?

Well, it was for National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/), so there's no teacher, just me. (If you've never done it before, try it next November. It's really quite fun, if you can live through the hand cramps and the lack of sleep. ^_^ ) Although I believe January is National Novel Editing Month, so I will be working on it further...
Basically, it was for my own satisfaction, and the ability to say that I've written 50,000 words in one month. Also, if my very, very disjointed story somehow manages to be coherent once I edit it, who knows? Maybe I'll be able to publish it somewhere?
I've got a lot more work to do, and it's not anywhere near being finished, but I achieved my goal, and now I've got the motivation to keep working on it.
